Thank you for taking part in the Away Resorts “UK or Abroad” quiz! We live in a beautiful country and we hope it has opened up the idea of exploring the UK more. Here are the well-awaited answers!

Barmouth Bay

This photo was taken on the beach just outside our very own Barmouth Bay Holiday Park. Check out the amazing sunset! It’s impossible to capture a bad photo when the sunset treats us to such an impressive display!

New Forest

This magical winter wonderland landscape was taken within the New Forest, which is on the doorstep of our newest holiday park, Sandy Balls. There’s no need to feel obliged to taking a holiday during the summer. The surrounding landscape is just as beautiful in the colder months.

Tattershall Lakes

This peaceful lakeland backdrop can only be Tattershall Lakes. Sit lakeside and watch the water-skiers perform as they ride the water ramp! You can even see Tattershall Castle in the top right had corner which neighbours the park, check it out for a true medieval experience.

Lake Garda

Our first red herring was the stunning Lake Garda – which doesn’t look too dissimilar to Snowdonia National Park. If you’d like to visit the UK’s very own Lake Garda, setup camp at Barmouth Bay Holiday Park where Snowdonia National Park is located just a stone’s throw away.

Mill Rythe

Welcome to one of our coastal holiday villages, Mill Rythe, located within Hayling Island. Doesn’t it looks even more stunning from a bird’s eye view? The turquoise waters and array of sailing ships may have persuaded you to believe this was abroad, but if not, well done! This is in fact in the UK!

Barmouth Bay harbour

Barmouth Bay harbour overlooks the headland of Dinas Oleu, the birthplace of the National Trust. Follow the National Trust trail for panoramic views of the harbour and luscious mountains.

Algarve, Portugal

The second image to try and trick you was actually the coastline found in Algarve, Portugal. Not to be mistaken with our beach front at Whitecliff Bay!

Whitecliff Bay

Now here is the real Whitecliff Bay – its chalk cliff edge is a massive giveaway! We’re lucky to get our fair share of sunsets here at the Isle of Wight, which often light up the sky in spectacular fashion.

Snowdonia National Park

There are so many beautiful sights to see at Snowdonia National Park where no two directions are alike! What you may not have known is that Snowdonia also has its fair share of lakes as well as mountains. Which is great news as you don’t always need to climb a mountain to see a an impressive view!
