With a jam packed schedule throughout the summer, you’ll never find yourself bored at Whitecliff Bay

With a jam packed schedule all throughout the summer, you’ll never find yourself bored at Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park. From world class musical performances to cream pie fights, there’s plenty on offer for both adults and children alike. The following list details some of the upcoming highlights.

Cream Pie Fight

When the Away Resorts Cream Pie Fight was held in our Tattershall Lakes Country Park in 2014, more than six hundred brave fighters stepped up to take part. Due to the success of the event, it was held again in 2015 across all four parks. Now it’s back for a third time running and promises to be bigger, better and messier than ever before!

Isle of Wight Festival

While this legendary weekend isn’t taking part on Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park, it definitely deserves a mention. The Isle of Wight Festival is the biggest and most famous event on the island. This year it will take place from 9th to 13th June and features an impressive line-up with The Who, Queen (featuring Adam Lambert), Sterophonics and Faithless gracing the main stage.

Midsummer Night’s Screen

Once again, our outdoor cinema viewings will take place throughout the summer. Here you can wrap up warm, cover yourself in a blanket and sit back on a hay bale while roasting marshmallows over an open fire. Throughout 2016 we will be hosting two movie screenings per week (weather permitting).

Rock the Bay

If the Isle of Wight Festival isn’t enough for you, Whitecliff Bay will be hosting Rock the Bay on 1st and 2nd July. Expect an all-star line-up of both local and national musical performers, sing-a-longs for the kids, plenty of games and a barbecue.

Summer Stage School

Whitecliff Bay is proud to welcome tutors from the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts. This on site drama school is perfect for aspiring actors, so if you’re bringing your children with you, sign them up because there’s only 48 places available per week. The 6-11 year old group will be performing the musicals Annie and Oliver, while the 12-17 year old group will be performing Grease!

Sky at Night

The Isle of Wight has a beautiful skyline, untouched by the light pollution of the big cities. Our Sky at Night events are perfect for would-be astronomers who want to learn the tricks of the trade. On a clear night you can see thousands of stars among the planets and galaxies.

Puppet Theatre

Remember those good old fashioned Punch and Judy shows? Well Whitecliff Bay is keeping the tradition alive at the Puppet Theatre – this year’s itinerary also features Bear in the Woods. Puppet shows are entertaining for the kids and the perfect place to spend some fun, quality time with your little ones.

If you’d like to venture out into the Isle of Wight and take part in off site events, Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park is the perfect hub. Not only is it within walking distance of a number of beaches, it also has excellent transport links to the island’s major tourist attractions.
