Over the October half term, our Away Resorts parks will be a host of all things Halloween. Guests staying with us over the half term break will be treated (not tricked) to a jam-packed itinerary of Halloween inspired activities, arts & crafts fit for the whole ghoulish gang!
As always, we’re embracing the fancy dress so don’t forget to pack your most terrifying costumes and a bit of face paint to really get into the Halloween spirit!
What’s on this half term…
My Active
We’ve put a spider web spin on some of our normal My Active activities. Feel like you’re part of the Ghostbuster crew as you blast your opponents with your Nerf darts. Or, enter our zombie apocalypse with just a laser blaster! Will you make it out without being touched by a laser or zombie?
Test your aiming skills in our archery and axe throwing sessions. Can you launch your axe onto the famous serial killers from popular scary movies? Or successfully release your arrows to hit the pumpkin target?
Kids activities
For the kids, we’ve got your traditional Halloween activities including pumpkin carving and chocolate apple decorating but also, the not so ordinary activities. If your little goblins love exploring their creative side, sign them up to our arts & crafts sessions which features; haunted house making, spider web catchers, petrifying pottery painting, trick or treat tie dye bag making and skelebuds – an adorable craft where children can make their own skeleton friend out of cotton buds.
Special themed activities – Sandy Balls
Our special themed activities at Sandy Balls range from mega spooky to tame, we want to make sure all our guests are able to participate in something if they wish.
Catch the Sandy Balls Werewolf, the tamer option, takes the family on a ghost walk around the park. A perfect activity for the little ones who don’t want anything too scary. For braver guests, take on our zombie walks… if you dare.
The scariest event of all…
If you’re looking for an activity that has a scare factor of 10 then look no further. Join us for our most frightening event of all at Sandy Balls and Whitecliff Bay… our spooky silent discos. The most terrifying bit – other fellow silent discoees will be able to hear every single word you belt out, once their silent disco headphones are off! Now that’s scary! Show off your best thriller dance moves and zombie walks as you bust a move on our Halloween silent disco dance floor!
If you’re interested in booking an activity or two whilst you’re on your Away Resorts break, make sure you do so sooner rather than later. We wouldn’t want a real-life scare! Activities can be booked online, via the Away Resorts app or on arrival. But beware, activities must be booked at least 30 minutes prior to your chosen activity!
