Winter time is coming, and that means that some of our regular park facilities are closing until the spring, but Whitecliff Bay will still be here for anyone looking for a quick getaway during the frostier months of the year. One of the best things about Whitecliff Bay is our fantastic location in Bembridge, which can be your perfect base from which to see all the great local winter offerings sure to make your trip unforgettable.

The Isle of Wight is a great winter choice not only because the area enjoys a relatively pleasant climate all year round, but also because of all the great heritage, family-friendly activities and never-fading natural beauty that are always on hand to visitors. First on our suggestion list for winter is Dinosaur Isle, which is Britain’s first purpose-built dinosaur museum and attraction. Nowhere else on the island will you find an organization so capable of making its rugged geology and dramatic landscapes so significant and fascinating, and not to mention their amazing collections and knowledge of all things dinosaur!

If history is definitely your thing, but you’d like something a little closer to the modern day, then you should try Osborne House in East Cowes, the well-known landmark of the Isle of Wight that also served as the summer home for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. You’ll be able to visit their apartments, see their private beach, and stroll through their gardens (although gardens may best be saved for summer). If you’re with us in late November, then how about taking part in one of their Festive Guided Tours?

And now for something completely different – Amazon World Zoo Park. No, it’s nothing to do with the online retailer! It’s a fabulous family fun day out where you can see a huge range of exotic and rare animals. Their day starts from 10:00am, and the park is open 364 days a year. It’s practically impossible to miss out on this brilliant local attraction.

We understand that your winter break away might not be about getting out and about to see the many attractions on the Isle of Wight. You might want to just relax in your comfortable accommodation and enjoy fine views of the sea, enjoy some good food and drink, and spend some lovely quality time together. Whatever you wish, we’re here for you. Check out our winter accommodation deals and book your next stay with us now.
