After a whole year in the making, we’re super excited to announce brand new Bear is finally here and he couldn’t be anymore cute!
To help make Bear the very best he can be, we recruited the help from a team of special effects puppeteers who have worked on movies by Disney, Jim Henson and George Lucas and the hard work they’ve put in has helped create an incredibly magical experience. One of the master puppeteers involved in the Bear in the Woods development team was Tim Rose.
Fellow Star Wars fans would know that Tim played Admiral Ackbar in Return of the Jedi, as well as puppeteered the characters of Sy Snootles and Salacious Crumb. His work extends throughout the movie world with involvement in; The Great Muppet Caper, The Muppets Christmas Carol, Howard the Duck, Dinosaurs, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal and Return to Oz. He even created the original Teletubbies! And now he has helped reinvent Bear!
Thanks to the team, Bear is more interactive than ever and it’s safe to say he went down a storm at the official launch of Bear at Sandy Balls’ 100th Birthday party last weekend! Take a look at Bear in action with friends, Scratch and Lucy, below!
