We hope is a useful list on some of the best family attractions on offer in Lincolnshire.

Bike Hire

A great thing about being on holiday is having the chance to spend some real quality time together as a family. To that end, we have prepared what we hope is a useful list on some of the best family attractions on offer in Lincolnshire.

Tattershall Farm Park (Tattershall):

You don’t even need to stray far from Tattershall Lakes for this one. The farm offers play areas for all kids from Toddler to the older ones. There are animals, an adventure play area, play barns, picnic areas and more. Keep your day out rural by staying in Tattershall’s beautiful Lincolnshire countryside.

Wacky Warehouse – Game Keeper (Lincoln):

Let your kids go wild on the fantastic soft play structure with aerial runs, cargo nets and astro slides! There’s also a safe toddler area for the little ones. Coffee, tea, pastries, sandwiches and more are on hand to satisfy hunger, in what is a fantastic choice if your day out in Lincoln looks like it might be marred for a few hours by rain.

The Kinema In The Woods (Woodhall Spa):

As we have mentioned before, it’s true that the British weather cannot always be relied upon. Another good idea for an indoor or evening activity might be this unique cinema in Woodhall Spa. It is indeed unique because it is the only one to employ back projection. Many great films are shown daily, including family-friendly titles.

Brook House Farm Riding School (Scamblesby):

This is a British Horse Society-approved riding school and livery yard offering lessons, hacks (and livery if you’d like to keep your own horse here for when you’re in Lincolnshire). They also run various holiday activities, which you can read about on their website. This can be a nice change of pace, and a chance to teach the kids some new skills.

Fantasy Island (Skegness):

This family favourite is located in one of the country’s most beloved and popular seaside towns. With rides offering great thrills and spills, as well as games and other activities that will keep the kids occupied for the whole day. With top attractions including “The Volcano”, “The Beat” and “The Odyssey”, you know it’s going to be a white-knuckle day of brilliant fun!

The Village Church Farm (Skegness):

If you are planning a daytrip out to Skegness, but theme parks aren’t your bag, then how about a family day at Lincolnshire’s only open-air farming museum? Check their website for an exciting itinerary of events throughout the year, and this is even a place you can bring your dog to (on a lead, of course). So, the whole family can take part!

Woodside Wildlife Park (Newball, Lincoln):

Talked about by many as Lincolnshire’s “premiere animal attraction,” Woodside is an inspiring day out that promises to help kids forget about their games consoles and satellite television commitments at home. It’s fun for adults too! Meet tigers, listen to wolves, fly falcons – the list goes on!

Playzone (Lincoln):

Another good choice for families who need an indoor distraction for the kids on those difficult weather days. This centre provides a 10,000 square-foot facility packed with fun designed to both stimulate and challenge kids of all ages.

Lincoln Castle (Lincoln):

Give a dusty history book the kids may have been forced to read at school some context and real-life meaning by taking them to this great symbol of power in the heart of Lincolnshire. They can walk along the medieval walls, visit the Victorian prison, and even see an original version of possibly England’s greatest single document — Magna Carta.
