Take a look at popular festivals located a short drive away from our parks!

We’re right in the thick of the summer holidays and if you haven’t already had your fair share of festivals this summer, take a look at some popular ones below, all of which are located a short drive away from our parks!

Boomtown Fair – Hampshire – 9th – 12th August

Boomtown Fair celebrates theatre, live music, escapism and community spirit all within beautifully dressed up stages. The line-up is so diverse! On one stage there’s DJ Archie, a 3-year-old DJ ( no that’s not a typo) through to 22-years-strong, rap-rock band, Limp Bizkit. The festival is based in Winchester, just 45 minutes away from Sandy Balls, making Sandy Balls Holiday Village an ideal location to crash for the night, if camping isn’t your cup of tea!

Jack up the ‘80s – Isle of Wight – 10th-12th August

Now in its 6th year, Jack up the ‘80s is a fun-filled music festival set to embrace the hairspray, roller-boots and the neon of that well-loved decade. Artists confirmed so far include Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp, pop rock group T’Pau, punk princess Toyah Willcox, jazz funk band Shakatak and soul star Jaki Graham. If you’re looking for somewhere comfortable to stay in-between festival days, Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park is only a 15-minute drive away from the festival – you can’t get much closer than that!

Garlic Festival – Isle of Wight – 18th – 19th August

Calling all foodies. The Isle of Wight Garlic Festival is back for another year and promises to bring another garlic-filled event from cookery displays, garlic products, garlic-infused meals, garlic-themed crafts and even garlic fudge tasting! As well as everything garlic, there will also be children’s entertainers, talented animals, a fun fair and live music. Making it a great day out for the whole family.

Victorious Festival – Portsmouth – 24th – 26th August

After their successful debut last year, the Victorious festival returns on the August bank holiday weekend in Portsmouth and the line-up is already looking strong. On stage will be The Libertines, Kaiser Chiefs, Paul Weller, Paloma Faith, The Prodigy, Years & Years, Example & DJ Wire and many, many more! Set up base at Mill Rythe Holiday Village, a short half hour drive from the festival, and catch those crucial zzz’s ahead of the next jam-packed festival day.

The Big Weekend – Mill Rythe Holiday Village – 24th – 26th August

Come and join us for an incredible weekend at Mill Rythe Holiday Park. The Big Weekend is set to be an amazing jam-packed couple of days across the bank holiday weekend featuring performances from X-Factor stars Grace Davies and Kevin Davy White, show cast performances from our residential show cast and an epic Cream Pie Fight!
