You may have remembered last year we mentioned there was a new and thrilling attraction coming to Wales, if not don’t worry! Conwy Adventure Leisure Park has signed a contract with Wavegarden to build the UKs first inland man-made surfing park. Wait for it…. The best part is that it’s based right in the heart of stunning Snowdonia!
The project is under construction with an organisation called Surf Snowdonia who has invested around £7.7 million in to building and revamping landscapes while continuing to protect the habitat, pathways to the local village, new greenery, railway line, parking, lakeside lodges, restaurant, indoor soft play area, changing rooms, activity woodland and other fantastic activities!
Of course, not forgetting the main attraction….an artificial surfing lagoon! On top of that there is a wave garden set to be put in place, which will be generating some amazing powerful waves up to 6 foot high in the 300 meters long lagoon. This truly is a dream come true for all surfers around the UK.
We can now announce this fantastic attraction will be officially open for everyone to enjoy on Saturday 1st August. Little one, kids, big kids and of course adults this is the MUST attraction of this year if you love adrenalin, water, splashing, adventure and a wave-lashing adventure then Surf Snowdonia is for you!
