Those long summer holidays may be over, but there are still lots of chances for you and your family/friends to take a break and enjoy some quality time with us here at Tattershall Lakes. To give you some ideas for things to do while you’re here with us, either just for a quick weekend getaway, or perhaps for a longer stay during the half-term holiday.

It won’t be long before the winter season kicks in, and our annual watersports season ends for a few months, so make sure you join us before it’s over! As you know, we have fantastic wakeboarding, water skiing and jet skiing on offer. There’s also great fishing for those who want to take the water activities a little slower and perhaps don’t need such an adrenalin rush. If the kids want to try out more new activities, they can also take part in our signature MyActive program!

Head off the park together if you fancy a day trip as a family. Lincolnshire’s namesake, county seat and largest city, Lincoln, is located within decent striking distance of us here in the countryside. The city offers unbeatable access to the county’s finest heritage sites, such as Lincoln castle, as well as the area’s best shopping, museums and family eateries. Whatever time of year you’re here with us, Lincoln is always worth a visit.

Skegness is also a popular choice for a day trip, especially for those who just can’t resist a day out at the seaside. This old English resort offers all kinds of fun, and promises a great time even if the weather isn’t entirely on your side. Don’t forget to try “Seaview Fisheries” for what a lot of people call the best Fish n Chips in Skeggy!

Fancy a bit of a bike ride? Take the Tattershall and Woodhall Spa Circle. The route covers 19.5 miles and can be completed in around 2 hours. Along the way, two of the biggest highlights include Woodhall Spa itself, often called “the home of English golf.” The area is also of particular interest to history buffs, particularly those interested in military history. RAF Coningsby is nearby, home to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Further along the route, you will come to the charming village of Billinghay, which is home to a Grade 1 Listed building – the local Church of St. Michael – which dates back to the 13th Century.
