The Away Resorts Event bucket‑list

We like to think we’re known for doing things a little differently around here and our special events are another reason to brag about holidaying with Away Resorts!

Let us introduce you to some of our must‑do events that take place across many of our staycation destinations…

Colour Festival

Hosted across almost all of our locations, Colour Festival is an Away Resorts staple, attracting groups of all ages to get involved and let their hair down!

We’re all about good vibes with good company so pack your white T‑shirt, sunnies and prepare for things to get messy!

What to expect?

DJs to get you dancing
The main event ‘Colour Throw’
Rainbow powder selfies to give your mates FOMO
Roaming performers ‑ these can vary from park to park, including stilt walkers and bubble acts to circus performers

Custard Pie Fight

We like to end the summer with a SPLAT to the face! Taking place (for the majority) on the August Bank Holiday Weekend, our annual Custard Pie Fight is the ultimate way to burn off the last of that school holiday energy through BIG messy fun!

With record breaking numbers of pies being thrown across our resorts at the same time, join us for the messy madness of our next Custard Pie Fight.

What to expect?

Toddler Foam Parties (fun for the little’uns)

A good hose down to wash away the left overs!
Sandcastle competitions*

Dino World

Travel back in time to a prehistoric land filled with Jurassic creatures as we bring you the rawr‑some event that is Dino World this Summer.

Join our Ranger Camp to learn all about the monsters that once roamed the earth and meet them face to face! Available at Tattershall Lakes, Sandy Balls and Whitecliff Bay ‑ Dino World is an unmissable weekend for your little explorers.

Rock the Lakes

Party like a rockstar at the fan favourite, Rock The Lakes at Tattershall Lakes Country Park, Lincolnshire. With your favourite tribute acts performing on our amphitheater stage, grab your family and friends for a boogie into the night.

In 2021 we celebrated our tenth anniversary of hosting this lakeside festival and what an event it was! Music brings the people together and the atmosphere was nothing but good vibes!

What to expect?

A good ol’ sing‑a‑long with the crowd

Festival vibes but with comfy beds to go back to!

Winterfest

Exclusive to Tattershall Lakes, Lincolnshire… Christmas has well and truly landed with the arrival of Winterfest. The magic of our brand NEW Spiegeltent transforms the resort into a fantastically festive hotspot surrounded by twinkling lights, snow and Christmas trees.

The Spiegeltent is the centre of festive fun, hosting our entertainment with regular pantomimes and theatre shows. Take a wander outside and discover the stalls of our Christmas Market or grab a bite to eat in our Merlin Complex.

Forest of Light

Let there be light Twinkling, Christmas magic and festive feels. What better way to get into that Happy Holidays mood than with a visit to our Forest Of Light, exclusive to Sandy Balls Holiday Village.

Take a wander through Acorn Place to experience the jingle bells and over 60,000 sparkling lights that cover the woodland of our Village Square.
