Mill Rythe Holiday Village is a relaxing resort conveniently located on Hayling Island. It’s just a few minutes from the Tournerbury Golf Course and 1.5 miles from the beach, making it the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway. During the summer there will be an exciting itinerary on offer for kids, adults and families, featuring everything from world-class musical guests to adrenaline fuelled sports.
Swimming and Floating
No holiday park would be complete without a swimming pool! At Mill Rythe there is both an indoor and outdoor heated pool where you can paddle on inflatable kayaks, speed along on the aqua jets and ride the flumes. If you’re with a team of friends or family members and would prefer open waters, you can even challenge yourself to some friendly competition raft building.
Old School Sports
Ever fancied target archery, crossbow or axe throwing? These ancient medieval sports may have been left off the curriculum at school, but they were the football and rugby equivalent of the Middle Ages. Here you can test your power, strength and aim with some quintessentially British sporting pastimes in a safe and controlled environment.
One-Off Experiences
Holidays don’t always have to be relaxing getaways in the sun. At Mill Rythe, there’s plenty for the adrenaline junkies out there, including Zorbing. If you haven’t heard about this seemingly odd pastime, it basically revolves around standing in a giant ball (usually three metres in diameter) and rolling down a hill…
Fitness Classes
A holiday is certainly a valid excuse to let your hair down, relax and take a break from the gym. However, at Mill Rythe, there are plenty of fun activities that’ll still get your heart rate pumping, such as renting a bike and exploring the stunning nature and taking part in the Zumba fitness classes.
West End Stage Shows
The stunning Ballroom plays host to elaborate musical theatre performances, bands, musicians and stage shows from both resident and touring performers. Acts gracing the stage this summer during our family breaks include Crocodile Joe, juggler Jon Udry, comedian Scotty Miller, Nya King as Whitney as well as Championship Wrestling and Mill Rythe’s Fabulous new stage show Electric Dreams which celebrates the 1980’s. Culminating in the Big Weekend on Friday 26 August, which will feature Britain’s Got Talent winners, Collabro, tribute act Jessie J and our mad and messy Cream Pie Fight!
Fun For the Kids
During family breaks there are an abundance of activities for the kids, including cheerleading classes and laser tag. There is even a paintball area with a variety of targets and geocaching classes for the would-be explorers.
Movies Under Moonlight
One of the best things about Mill Rythe in the summer is the Midsummers Night Screen. Here you can settle down on a hay bale, wrap up in a blanket and roast marshmallows on an open fire, while watching a movie under the stars. Throughout summer 2016 there will be two screenings per week.
Everyday, visitors get one free activity from the itinerary. All other sessions are charged at just £4 per person. Booking in advance is highly recommended, especially during the summer. To check availability please check our break planner for a fantastic range of family summer breaks.
